Kelly Macdonald (Trainspotting) stars as a Scottish teenager working as a prostitute in London and her efforts to free herself from the clutches of her oily, paternalistic pimp. She escapes to Glasgow with her friend, a small-time hustler, and tries to deal with her abusive past. When the two return to London, she manages to get her life together, but her friend slips back into his bad ways.
